It’s a good idea to enable Do Not Disturb so calls and notifications don’t interrupt your session. You can turn it on from Control Center before you start, or create a custom Focus mode for I am Zen.
Keep your eyes softly open, with your gaze resting on the number or symbol on the screen. In Zen-style practice, the eyes remain slightly open and unfocused, helping you stay present without drifting into sleep. Place your phone about an arm’s length away on the floor or a stand, so you can comfortably see the visuals and read affirmations without strain.
Place your iPhone on a stable surface at about arm’s length in front of you—on the floor, a low stool, or a stand. The goal is to see the number or symbol clearly without leaning forward or straining your neck. Avoid holding the phone so your shoulders and arms can relax throughout the session.
Yes. You can adjust the duration of meditation and affirmations in the settings. If you set either duration to 0, that section will be skipped so you can focus only on the part you want.
I am Zen let each breath or affirmation finish before ending your session, so the timer is a minimum time. This means sessions can run slightly longer than the time you set, to avoid stopping you in the middle of a cycle.
If you don’t want to finish the current meditation segment, swipe down to move on. Swiping down during meditation will skip ahead to the affirmation part of the session.
If you’re in the affirmation phase and want to end earlier, swipe down to exit that section and return to the end of the session.
